Repurpose Food Scraps
Our solution is to take fruit and vegetable food scraps from restaurants, and use the scraps to make cleaning supplies and air fresheners.
We are making natural cleaners using citrus and air fresheners and using the access fruits and vegetables we are going to make air fresheners that we give out to people so that they are encouraged to do it themselves. Our community of focus are the restaurants that sell the fruit products and create the fruit scraps. .
CLEANER RECIPE:
°ADD CITRUS FRUIT PEELS (ORANGES, LEMONS, LIMES, EXT.) to mason jar
° ADD 100 ml of vinegar to mason jar
Add 180-200ml of water to mason jar
(OPTIONAL) add some fresh herbs of your choice.
Let sit for 20 minutes
°POUR INTO A SPRAY BOTTLE AND CLEAN!

FIFO ( First in First Out) is a way to stop food waste. This solution works by making sure whatever food is going to rot and go bad first is sold first or put in front of products that came in after it. - MEALS FOR THE HOMELESS Rethink Food Reuses unused food and makes meal for the homeless and less fortunate with that food.
- COMPOST A well known solution to stopping unused food waste and food waste in general is composting. Many companies pick up food waste from restaurants And composts it so that none of the food goes to the landfills and rots.
